We’ve known that FB has an algorithm to help it show you things that should be more interesting to you. In my case it doesn’t always work. Maybe it is because I like an eclectic range of things and I prefer to discover these on my own instead of being suggested. But the discussion is still open about the merits of a more intelligent algorithm. Zuckerberg considers it Artificial Intelligence.
The social network is able to recognize patterns in how you interact with things and deliver content in response. If you often “like” updates from a certain person, Facebook might suggest different (sometimes weird) ways for you to see more from that person.
